Prager H3: Open Lines

Prager H3: Per usual, callers set the agenda. Issues raised include: Why get married if you don’t want children; Why does Dennis keep the Sabbath if he doesn’t believe in a 7 day creation week; Is Dennis and his wife planning on having kids; is there one God, one true doctrine. Best of Prager Show Hour. Originally broadcast on May 1, 2009.

Prager H2: Happiness Hour: Black Boxes

Prager H2: A black box is something about yourself that you hide from others or even from yourself. “Where did that come from?” is a common reaction one might have when dealing with another person who suddenly acts in a way you couldn’t have predicted. Transparency is the opposite of the black box. The latter is a far clearer road to happiness than the former. Best of Prager Show Hour. Originally broadcast on August 15, 2008.

Prager H1: Equality of Outcome

Prager H1: Eight years ago, Norway mandated that forty percent of corporate boards must be comprised of women. The law is now commonplace throughout the Continent. This is a perfect expression of the Leftist view – equality of outcome trumps equality of opportunity. Nancy Pelosi vows to pass ObamaCare – by any means necessary. The SEC will now require companies to disclose their global warming risk.

Prager H3: Thomas Sowell

Prager H3: Dennis talks to Thomas Sowell, widely read syndicated columnist, best selling author and scholar in residence at the Hoover Institution, Stanford University. His new book is Intellectuals and Society. The President’s State of the Union Speech is also a topic of discussion.

Prager H2: SOTU TWO

Prager H2: Dennis continues his analysis of the President’s speech.

Prager H1: SOTU

Prager H1: Dennis deconstructs President Obama’s first State of the Union address.

Prager H3: In a Pickle

Prager H3: The President gives his State of the Union address tonight. He’s in a real pickle. The Democratic Party is split down the middle after the flameout of ObamaCare. The Left wing believes he has to move more in their direction; the center believes he must pull a Bill Clinton and move to the center. Dennis talks to Leon de Winter, columnist for the Dutch magazine, Elsevier, about the trial of Geert Wilders in the Netherlands. Wilders’ criticism of Koran has gotten him in trouble with the Dutch government. An environmental group tells the truth: if we want to stop global warming, no economic is possible.

Prager H2: Male/Female Hour: A Woman without a Man

Prager H2: “A woman without a man is like a fish without a bicycle.” That was a feminist slogan in the seventies. It has permeated into our culture. Girls are taught not to depend on a man. But what does that really mean? And is it true? And is it true for men? Does a man need a woman to be fulfilled?

Prager H1: Pandora’s Box

Prager H1: Football star Tim Tebow and his mother, Pam, have made a pro-life ad sponsored by Focus on the Family for the Super Bowl. Dennis admires the content of the ad, but is this opening a Pandora’s Box. Won’t the Left now put on ads to promote same-sex marriage or single-payer insurance?… Dennis talks to Jonathan Cole, the John Mitchell Mason Professor of the University at Columbia. His new book is The Great American University. Dennis returns to the question of airing issue-oriented ads on Super Bowl Sunday.

Prager H2: Fifty Minutes

Prager H2: The Christmas Terrorist was singing like canary and then after 50 minutes he was suddenly read his Miranda rights and he clammed up. Who gave the order to “read him his rights”? Why wasn’t he treated as an enemy combatant? These questions have been percolating for a month and still we have no answers. Every day the British press exposes another global warming scandal. Fifty firemen and a helicopter were employed to save a dog. Was it worth it?

Prager H1: The European Model

Prager H1: Dennis talks to Steven Hill, Director of the Political Reform Program for the New America Foundation. His new book is Europe’s Promise: Why the European Way Is the Best Hope in an Insecure Age.
