Prager H3: Dennis defends gift giving and the commercialization of Christmas. A Best of Prager Hour. Originally broadcast on December 8, 2009.
Prager H2: Dennis continues on his theme from the last hour… Our society is worse for the Left’s War on Christmas. It’s part of the larger cultural war. Compare Handel to Stockhausen, for example.
Prager H1: Dennis makes the case for leading a religious life. Without God, what do you look up to? Andromeda?… Thinking that you have to agree on every issue with your religion is childish. All religions raise troubling issues to believers.
Prager H3: Dennis’s good friend, Adam Carolla, visits the studio. Political correctness and Adam’s new show, “Catch a Contractor” are among the topics Dennis and Adam cover.
Prager H2: Do you stay with relatives or stay at a hotel when you go out of town to visit family. What happens when they visit you? Callers weigh in.
Prager H1: Cracker Barrel banned Duck Dynasty merchandise at their restaurants; then, almost immediately reversed its decision when its customers protested… A Federal judge in Utah legalizes same sex marriage in state in which according to the latest poll 28% of population supports… The biggest department in the UK, Marks and Spencer, has told its Muslim employees that they don’t have to sell pork products or alcohol to customers…
Prager H3: Per usual, callers set the agenda. Issues raised include: why doesn’t Dennis like Ecclesiastes; what happens when you lose your health care as result of ObamaCare; how about Dennis the Menace as a nickname for the host; is the USA past its prime.
Prager H2: The best way to encourage your children to lead a religious life is to have a happy religious home. Santa helps in that effort.
Prager H1: Phil Robertson might have been coarse in his language but it that was not the issue for the gay activist community. Dan Cathy of Chick-fil-A was more measured than Robertson and look what happened to him and his business back in 2012… A school in New York has forced the children to take all references to Jesus out of “Silent Night”… Pajama Boy is the new symbol of the Left
