Prager 20130607 – 02 Happiness Hour: Fighting Your Nature
Prager H2: You can’t live your life doing what you want all the time. That’s why you have to fight your nature.
Prager H2: You can’t live your life doing what you want all the time. That’s why you have to fight your nature.
Prager H1: An 84 year-old Florida great grandmother has won $300M in the national lottery. One can only feel sorry for her. Can you imagine how she will besiege with everybody thinking “what’s she going to do with that money?”… Conservative have to be careful not to get too worked up the NSA electronic snooping… Where did the IRS get its cue? From the top. But not directly.
Prager H3: Do you feel safe knowing that our security team is now Susan Rice, John Kerry, Chuck Hagel and Samantha Power?… The NY Times held a debate on the need for fathers. Five out of six participants didn’t see much of a need… Adam Carolla stops by. Hilarity ensues.
Prager H2: Dennis talks to Claudia Hammond, the voice of psychology on BBC Radio 4 where she is the host of All in the Mind and Mind Changers. Her new book, now out in paperback, is Time Warped: Unlocking the Mysteries of Time Perception… We should measure employment statistics by who is employed, not who is unemployed… People are killing themselves for no good reason.
Prager H1: The scandal du jour: the Obama Administration asked Verizon to turn over all phone records to the NSA. That’s a lot of phone records. If this was a Republican administration the media would have gone berserk. Now it’s a yawn, but, if you strip away all the politics, maybe it should be. Callers don’t agree… A professor of gender studies, no less, is disturbed by the fact that her daughter went to the prom with a girlfriend and is further disturbed her that she was disturbed.
Prager H3: Dennis returns to Becky Gerritson’s statement to Congress… HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius solicited health care companies to aid a private organization whose sole purpose is to promote ObamaCare. This is another scandal… NBC’s Brian Williams describes the Islamist leader of Turkey as a purveyor of “conservative values.” Such is the liberal brainwash.
Prager H2: Traditional dating is dead or dying. So what has replaced it? And is it a step forward or back?
Prager H1: Becky Gerritson of the Watumpka Alabama Tea Party proves Dennis’s axiom that passion produces eloquence. Dennis identifies closely with this woman who personifies the best of America. But she is an anathema to the Left… Dennis talks to Alexandra Smith, National Chair of the College Republican National Committee. Her organization has written a report on why young people are turned off by the Republican “brand.”
Prager H3: Does God intervene in our personal lives? This is a very tough question, even for Dennis.
