Prager H2: The debt deal is a big victory for the conservative cause. Debt reduction is now a national priority. When did Democrats ever talk about debt reduction?.. Dennis returns to his guest, Dale Brantner, senior vice president of CURE. Dennis is celebrating his birthday by asking listeners to make a donation in his name to this magnificent organization.
Prager H1: Nancy Pelosi adds Satan fries to Representative Cleaver’s Satan sandwich to describe the deficit deal. If the leader of the Democrats hates the deal, it must be pretty good… Republicans are “terrorists,” “Satanic,” “arsonists,” “hostage takers,” “waging jihad” but Republican rhetoric is hateful and promotes violence… Dennis introduces, Dale Brantner, senior VP of CURE International, an organization that provides life-changing surgeries to children in the third world.
Prager H3: More on the debt ceiling…Dennis speaks with Senator Jon Kyl of Arizona. Like Dennis, Senator Kyl will reluctantly support this bill…The GOP and the Tea Party cannot risk taking the blame for another economic downturn. It’s better for Republicans to hold their noses now than to lose in 2012…Dennis talks about the torture chamber that is Syria. How many people must the thug Bashar Assad murder before the Obama administration demands that he step down? Just another reason why the 2012 elections are so important.
Prager H2: Dennis speaks with Senior Editor of the American Spectator and Fox News contributor John Fund about the debt ceiling deal. According to Fund, the Democrats badly miscalculated by not raising the debt ceiling in December. They hoped to make it the Republicans’ problem, but if anyone came out the losers here, it’s the Democrats.
Prager H1: Democratic and Republican leaders appear to have reached an agreement on raising the debt ceiling. The deal is imperfect and we who want to shrink our debt have to hold our nose. But this is a great deal considering that Republicans don’t control the Senate or the White House…Dennis speaks with renowned financial expert John Mauldin, author of Endgame: The End of the Debt Supercycle and How it Changes Everything.
Prager H3: Per usual, callers set the agenda. Issues raised include: is throwing glitter on Republicans a hate crime? Does God intervene in our lives to create circumstances that would not otherwise take place? Why are we so politically correct about ethnicity, but not about obese people? If you could have a conversation with anyone, who would it be? Dennis’ answer…to people who drive slowly in the left lane.
Prager H2: If you walk around as an envious and jealous person, you cannot be happy. Why? Because if you are jealous of what others have, you won’t be grateful for what you have. No matter how much wealth and beauty you have, there will always be people who have more. The key to happiness is gratitude and a key to gratitude is to not be envious.
Prager H1: John Boehner is having trouble passing his debt ceiling bill. Although Dennis sympathizes with the refusal of some Republicans to raise the debt ceiling, Boehner’s plan is the best that we can expect considering that Republicans don’t control the Senate or the White House…Police arrested Naser Abdo, a U.S. soldier based in Fort Hood, TX who planned a second attack on the army base. Why is the Left so afraid of saying that this man is Muslim? There are many Muslim groups in America that hate what terrorists have done to their name, but the media only listens to CAIR.
Prager H3: Dennis talks to fellow talk show host, Glenn Beck. Dennis is unhappy that this good man has been libeled by the Left. The accusation that Beck is anti-semitic is absurd. Dennis heard Beck at a pro-Israel conference last weekend. He gave a stirring pro-Jewish, pro-Israel speech… More on the debt crisis.
