The fan, a paramedic, remains in a coma… Michael Eric Dyson, a professor of sociology at Georgetown, compares Palestinians celebrating the death of those killed by terrorists on 9/11 to Americans celebrating the killing of Bin Laden… The Eurozone is on the edge of collapse. Greece can’t pay its debts no matter how many times the EU restructures it… When did the Democrats ever show any serious interest in cutting spending?
Prager H2: Pitzer College is adding a new department: Secularism. Boy, that fills a gap… Tony Kushner, the leftist playwright, was denied an honorary degree by City University of New York. His views toward Israel were considered unacceptable. But then the fashionable Left went nuts. The “mistake” has been corrected… The Left can’t get away from blaming the US for 9/11.
Prager H1: The Los Angeles Times and New York Times describe new church burnings and murder in Egypt as “sectarian clashes.” What’s sectarian about it? One group – Muslims – is attacking another group – Christian Copts… Dennis is excited about a new iPhone app that helps you identify trees… Mexicans protest against their government’s war against the drug gangs. What is the Mexican government supposed to do? Let the country become a narco state?
Prager H3: Per usual, callers set the agenda this hour. Issues raised include: If they have to show ID’s to vote in Mexico, why not here; should you send a delinquent child to a special discipline school; why did the media lie to us about losing the Vietnam War; do you need to take drugs to have a religious experience.
Prager H2: While your parents are alive, do everything you can to have a good relationship with them. You may very well regret it if you don’t. Your parents won’t be around forever. Once they’re gone, resolution is not possible.
Prager H1: Michael Moore says we have lost our national soul because we killed Bin Laden. We put Nazis on trial after the war, didn’t we? Yes, Mr. Moore, after the war. If the war on terror was over and Bin Laden had unconditionally surrendered, then we would have put him on trial. Also, we hanged the Nazi leaders. Moore is against capital punishment, so he would have wanted Bin Laden to have been sentenced to life in prison. Like the American Left, the European Left doesn’t like the fact that we killed Bin Laden and didn’t take him alive. It offends their sense of delicacy. We got Bin Laden because we have been at war, not because we have been fighting a police action. Community Health Professor is honest enough to admit that open space second hand smoke fears are a fraud. The future for Egypt looks bleaker by the day. No global warming problems yet, but they’re coming, they’re coming.
