Dennis Prager 20230929 – 2 Happiness Hour: Compared to Whom?
It’s human nature to compare ourselves to those we perceive have it better than we do. But what if we were to compare ourselves to those who have it worse? Would that help us be happier?

Joe Biden gave a speech in Arizona bashing “MAGA Republicans.” The speech is full of demagoguery, outright lies and projection — accusing Republicans of being guilty of what he (Biden) has done. This president has been and remains the “Great Divider,” the opposite of what he promised to be 2020.
The new hero of our society is “the victim.” This leads to a lot of social pathologies. The left wants to destroy every thing that brings people joy: God, religion, marriage, family… Dennis reviews key moments in last night’s candidate debate.
Dennis talks to Bill O’Reilly, best-selling author and host of the Bill O’Reilly podcast. His new book, the 13th in his “Killing” series is Killing the Witches: The Horror of Salem, Massachusetts.
Last night’s Republican candidate debate (minus The Donald) was a messy affair. Heavy on insults, lighter than it should have been on substance. Ron DeSantis, to his credit, was an exception. Dennis talks to Julie Hartman, his co-host on the Dennis and Julie podcast. She was at the debate… Another looting riot in Philadelphia… CVS is closing 900 stores. Crime is becoming too expensive. And still, Democrat do almost nothing to stop it.
Dennis talks to Richard Hanania, research fellow at the University of Texas and the president and founder of the Center for the Study of Partisanship and Ideology. His new book is The Origins of Woke: Civil Rights Law, Corporate America, and the Triumph of Identity Politics.
Is taking your spouse for granted more destructive to a marriage than having an affair?
Have Americans become meaner over the last decade? If so, why?… Dennis talks to Liz Wheeler, political commentator, and podcaster. Her new book is Hide Your Children: Exposing the Marxists Behind the Attack on America’s Kids.
What does it mean to be holy? We used to think a lot about this question. We need to start thinking about it again.
