A descendant of slaves calls in, and says that he can imagine his ancestors looking down, thinking that it might have been worth it to come to America as slaves so that their descendants could live as free people.

Dennis explains why America is a country worth celebrating. If you can’t celebrate America, then what country can you celebrate? America should be compared to other countries, not to an imaginary utopia.
