Prager 20110510 – 1 Screaming Is the New Spanking

Prager H1: Spanking, as form of discipline, has been out of favor for years. Screaming is the new spanking. But is it better? Callers weigh in. A Best of Prager Hour. Originally broadcast on October 27, 2009.

Prager 20110509 – 3 Giant Fan

Prager H3: Dennis remains appalled by the horrific beating of a San Francisco Giant fan outside of Dodger Stadium. The fan, a paramedic, remains in a coma… Michael Eric Dyson, a professor of sociology at Georgetown, compares Palestinians celebrating the death of those killed by terrorists on 9/11 to Americans celebrating the killing of Bin Laden… The Eurozone is on the edge of collapse. Greece can’t pay its debts no matter how many times the EU restructures it… When did the Democrats ever show any serious interest in cutting spending?

Prager 20110509 – 2 Secular Studies

Prager H2: Pitzer College is adding a new department: Secularism. Boy, that fills a gap… Tony Kushner, the leftist playwright, was denied an honorary degree by City University of New York. His views toward Israel were considered unacceptable. But then the fashionable Left went nuts. The “mistake” has been corrected… The Left can’t get away from blaming the US for 9/11.

Prager 20110509 – 1 Sectarian Violence

Prager H1: The Los Angeles Times and New York Times describe new church burnings and murder in Egypt as “sectarian clashes.” What’s sectarian about it? One group – Muslims – is attacking another group – Christian Copts… Dennis is excited about a new iPhone app that helps you identify trees… Mexicans protest against their government’s war against the drug gangs. What is the Mexican government supposed to do? Let the country become a narco state?

Prager 20110506 – 3 Open Lines

Prager H3: Per usual, callers set the agenda this hour. Issues raised include: If they have to show ID’s to vote in Mexico, why not here; should you send a delinquent child to a special discipline school; why did the media lie to us about losing the Vietnam War; do you need to take drugs to have a religious experience.

Prager 20110506 – 2 Happiness Hour: Mother’s Day

Prager H2: While your parents are alive, do everything you can to have a good relationship with them. You may very well regret it if you don’t. Your parents won’t be around forever. Once they’re gone, resolution is not possible.

Prager 20110506 – 1 Moore Nonsense

Prager H1: Michael Moore says we have lost our national soul because we killed Bin Laden. We put Nazis on trial after the war, didn’t we? Yes, Mr. Moore, after the war. If the war on terror was over and Bin Laden had unconditionally surrendered, then we would have put him on trial. Also, we hanged the Nazi leaders. Moore is against capital punishment, so he would have wanted Bin Laden to have been sentenced to life in prison. Like the American Left, the European Left doesn’t like the fact that we killed Bin Laden and didn’t take him alive. It offends their sense of delicacy. We got Bin Laden because we have been at war, not because we have been fighting a police action. Community Health Professor is honest enough to admit that open space second hand smoke fears are a fraud. The future for Egypt looks bleaker by the day. No global warming problems yet, but they’re coming, they’re coming.

20110505 -3 Dr. Michael Richman

Prager H3: Dennis talks to Dr. Michael Richman, thoracic surgeon in practice in Los Angeles. He’s also the founder of the Center for Cholesterol Management. Topics raised include: how do you tell what medical studies you should pay attention to and which not; should you take fish oil; how bad are transfats; what is the best cholesterol test.

20110505 -2 Protect the Children

Prager H2: How should we explain the death of Bin Laden to children? This seems to be another thorny issue for the child psychology crowd. But it’s not complicated. We kill monsters. Most evidence indicates that enhanced interrogation played a key role in getting Bin Laden.

20110505 – 1 Judging Good and Evil

Prager H1: Can we judge good and evil? Should be an easy question to answer, no? But following the killing of Bin Laden, it’s clear that it’s not, at least on the Left.

20110504 – 3 No Photos

Prager H3: The President has announced he won’t release Bin Laden’s death photos. Dennis supports the decision. Dennis also supports the decision to kill the terrorist rather than take him prisoner. Four looters were arrested in Alabama. These are the lowest of the low.
