Prager H1: Dennis talks to Steven Hill, Director of the Political Reform Program for the New America Foundation. His new book is Europe’s Promise: Why the European Way Is the Best Hope in an Insecure Age. A Best of Prager Hour. Originally broadcast on January 26, 2010.
Prager H3: That’s what Harry Reid said a couple of years ago. Democrats hate coal because they think it causes Global Warming. But we get most of our power from coal. As the Administration shuts down coal production, we become more dependent on foreign oil, not to mention lose thousands of jobs… New discoveries in the US have indicated that we have massive untapped oil reserves. Do we have the will to go and get them?
Prager H2: Newt Gingrich, recently declared Republican presidential candidate, calls the Ryan Medicare plan “radical… rightwing social engineering.” Is it really?.. Mike Huckabee has decided not run. So, who has the best shot at beating President Obama?
Prager H1: Mark Taylor fills in for Dennis as he did on Friday. Mark explains why he moved from Los Angeles to a small town in rural West Virginia where there are no franchise stores and no stoplights… Israel killed half a dozen Palestinians who stormed the country’s borders from Syria, Lebanon and the West Bank. For Hamas and Iran the “settlements” issue is a ruse; they want to destroy Israel.
Prager H3: What do the Republicans need to do to recapture the White House and the Senate in 2012? Energy is key. Voters feel high gas prices.
Prager H2: Ron Paul wants to decriminalize illegal drugs. Does this make him unelectable?.. Mitt Romney needs to finesse the differences between ObamaCare and RomneyCare. Can he do it?
Prager H1: Mark Taylor guest hosts for Dennis. Mark recently moved from California to West Virginia. He describes the culture shock – the good, the bad and the hilarious… Does Newt Gingrich have a chance to win the Republican presidential nomination?
Prager H3: Kevin Wall sits in for Dennis. Along with more border talk Kevin interviews Leo Linbeck, Vice Chairman of the Health Care Compact Alliance.
Prager H2: Kevin Wall sits in for Dennis. The border discussion continues as callers weigh in.
Prager H1: Kevin Wall sits in for Dennis. Due to lightning storms in southern Texas we were unable to broadcast the first segment of the show, but once we got going, Kevin wanted to know if the government, i.e. Napolitano and Pres. Obama, are lying to America about the border situation.
Prager H3: Mark Isler sits in for Dennis. Mark begins with all the news he says “Dennis would never touch,” including: Osama’s son’s lawsuit, airbrushing Hillary, bed bugs, disgraceful Lakers, and a rapper at the White House. For the rest of the hour, Mark takes callers’ votes on who they think would make the best presidential candidates. Though we received the most calls in favor of Trump, other choices include: McCain, Daniels, Romney, Cain, Perry, Paul, Rubio, Gingrich, Jindal, Palin, Pawlenty, Santorum, Christie, and Condoleezza Rice.
Prager H2: Mark Isler sits in for Dennis . Rent control is popular with the public, but it badly distorts the housing market. Mark and his guest, Bill Hooey of the Fair Housing Commission in Los Angeles explain why. This leads to a larger discussion of capitalism and socialism.
