Prager H1: Conservatives on Campus

Prager H1: Dennis talks to Matthew Woessner, associate professor of political science and public policy at Penn State University at Harrisburg. His new book is The Still Divided Academy: How Competing Visions of Power, Politics, and Diversity Complicate the Mission of Higher Education.

Prager H2: Pan Out

Prager H2: In his column today, Dennis asks why we never see “In God We Trust” above and behind the Vice President and Speaker of the House when the President gives his State of the Union address. Why did we let public service workers unionize?.. Without bookstores, where do guys pick up girls?

Prager H3: Ultimate Issues Hour: Love Thy Neighbor

Prager H3: Perhaps the most famous verse in The Bible is “love your neighbor as yourself.” But rarely is the full verse quoted. This omission is critically important and says a lot about our modern, secular culture.

Prager H1: Tucson Murderer Years from Verdict

Prager H1: In a more civilized society, the Tucson murderer would have been tried and executed by now. But under our liberalized justice system, it will take months and probably years before this maniac even gets to trial. When did football players start showboating in the end zone?… Dennis talks to Congressman David Dreier, chairman of the House Rules Committee. The congressman tells Dennis that people are still buzzing about the speech he gave to the Republican delegation ten days ago.

Prager H2: Taxes Changing Behavior

Prager H2: Notable Hollywood liberal, Alec Baldwin, does everything he can to run away from high New York taxes. MTV distinguishes itself again with a new series about explicit teen sex and drug use.

Prager H3: We Are Alone

Prager H3: A Harvard science professor asserts that the evidence is overwhelming: we are alone in the universe. A Pakistani girl is murdered by her family in Pakistan with the approval of the village council. The Reuters never mentions that the family is Muslim.

Prager H1: Hammertime

Prager H1: Charles Krauthammer points out the hypocrisy of liberal outrage over the Tucson shooting, and Dennis couldn’t agree more. Dennis poses that mental illness is the bigger issue rather than gun control. A Norwegian boy fends off wolves by playing music from the band “Creed” on his cell phone.

Prager H2: Happiness Hour: Open Lines

Prager H2: Once a quarter, Dennis opens up the Happiness Hour to listener questions. Issues raised include: A caller asked for guidance on how to receive more praise from his wife. Dennis advised a caller on how to get his unhappy mother to read “Happiness is a Serious Problem”. A caller shared her experience with step-children disliking her marriage to their father.

Prager H3: Open Lines

Prager H3: Per usual, callers set the agenda for this hour. Issues raised include: How should I teach “Honor thy mother and thy father” to my step-children; is calmness in the face of anxiety a moral virtue; and the dangers of children remaining on their parents’ healthcare until age 26.
